Gwyneth Paltrow has a Music Career?

So this blog is mainly focused on the not so fortunate amazing and talented singers who just haven't made their own record label yet, BUT can we pause for a second and talk about Gwyneth Paltrow. Where did she come from?!?! She used to be a plain old boring actress occasionally cast and well performed actress, but now a SINGER? Well we'll use that word lightly.. did you see her Grammy performance and her performance at the Oscars? So did I. Anyways Paltrow is now a guest star on Glee and had her own country music movie Country Strong. I have to say when she isn't live I don't hate her, and I've been guilty to jam to a few of her singles from Glee. Seriously though?!?! Why not find an actual talented artist hidden away somewhere and let her be a breakout artist in a movie or a guest star on Glee. What is the world coming to..

Here's her Oscar performance ...

... and here's a Glee performance...

See what I mean.

Christina Perri - UPDATE

The lovely Christina Perri (Previously blogged about on MusicPress) has officially released a new single, "Arms" and also has told us that in early may will be releasing her first full album. For more information log on to www.christinaperri.com or visit her youtube channel. Perri also just performed in her very first solo concert last night in Paris, France.
I absolutely love her new single and can not wait until the full album is released.

Lea Michelle

It's no surprise that the Spring Awakening Broadway Musical star, Lea Michelle, is nothing but the raw talent and vocal power Fox needed to get their now award-winning series Glee off it's feet over a year ago. But Glee's takeoff also sparked star, Lea Michelle's, career. The lovely 24 year old New York native was raised around the talent and creative aspects of Broadway. Starring in her first Broadway appearance at age 7, Michelle lit up the stage and the buzz talk for the Future of Broadway. Michelle "lives to be on stage," saying "it feels nothing but natural and at home when I perform." But the star had no idea that nearly a year after being offered the best role Broadway had to offer her, she would be a TV star. "I never expected to be a TV star. I thought I'd always be on the stage but when Glee came around and the opportunity for me to audition came up, I couldn't pass it up."
Glee is just the beginning to Lea Michelle's fame. The lovely starlet hopes to continue with the cast and crew of the show until it ends but also can't wait for new opportunities such as her own record deal releasing her own music. "Gleeks" world-wide will follow this star through whatever she endures next.
Being a "Gleek"(term used for Glee fans)  myself, and Michelle being one of my favorites on the show, I look forward to her powerful voice and talent in years to come. She's got the followers, now she just has to take the high road.
